Emergency Back-up Generator Replacement Project

This project consists of replacing the back-up emergency generators at four essential City facilities so that each facility can remain fully operational during power blackouts and other events causing long term power outages. The City facilities are the Police Station, City Hall, South Gate Park Auditorium and Public Works Maintenance Yard. The project will also provide a back-up emergency generator for the South Gate Courthouse which currently does not have a back-up emergency generator. The City Council awarded a design services contract at its November 14, 2023 meeting. Recently 30% plans have been submitted and are currently undergoing review by the City.  Design activities are scheduled for completion by the end of June 2024.
