Water Meter/Construction Meter
The Water Meter/Construction Meter application is required for new water meters or the use of fire hydrants for construction projects. There is a $441 fee required when applying for a new water meter. Estimate for installation of the water meter(s) is then determined by South Gate Water Department.
A $1,000 deposit and $1,121 water installation fee is required when applying for a construction meter. A map/sketch that depicts the location of the existing fire hydrant is also required when submitting for a construction meter.
Application and payment can be submitted to the Public Works front counter.
