Men and women of our police department are often tasked with tremendous duties that carry significant responsibility. Throughout the course of their shifts they sometimes perform above and beyond the normal call of duty which warrant recognition.

The South Gate Police Department acknowledges the responsibility to establish a procedure which will not only address the subject employees to corrective action when they conduct themselves improperly, but will also support employees when they properly discharge their duties.
