Citywide Residential Resurfacing Phase IV, CIP 699-ST
Public Works is pleased to announce the launch of construction of the Citywide Residential Resurfacing Project, Phase IV, scheduled to begin on May 27, 2025. This major infrastructure investment totaling $5.7 million, is designed to improve the safety, accessibility, and overall condition of residential streets and sidewalks in a few neighborhoods.

Project Highlights:

- Project Streets: Missouri Avenue, Liberty Boulevard, Hildreth Avenue, Pinehurst Avenue, Madison Avenue, Industrial Avenue, Firestone Boulevard/Dearborn Avenue, Long Beach Boulevard, and Imperial Highway

This project includes various infrastructure improvements aimed at enhancing roadway conditions, pedestrian accessibility, and utility services. The key components are as follows:
- Pavement Rehabilitation: Resurfacing and rehabilitation of residential streets, including E. Frontage Road.
- Sidewalk and ADA Compliance: Sidewalk repairs and ADA-compliant curb ramp reconstruction to improve pedestrian accessibility and safety.
- Water System Upgrades: Installation of new water services and fire hydrants to enhance public safety and infrastructure reliability.
- Traffic and Pedestrian Enhancements: Upgrades and modifications to existing traffic signals for improved flow and safety.
- Construction of a U-turn pocket to facilitate safer and more efficient traffic movement.
