Water Bill Assistance Event

The City will be hosting an application assistance event for residents on March 21, 2024 from 9:00am to 2:00pm at South Gate City Hall to aid in repayment of any unpaid water bills.

The Enrollment Specialist with Long Beach Community Action Partnership will be on-site to approve residents for a one-time payment, up to $15,000 to help pay for their current or past due water and/or wastewater bills.

Please bring the following documents to the event:

• Social Security Card -CA ID, Dl, Passport or Birth Certificate
• Proof of Income for all Household Members
• A Recent Water Bill

This is a walk-in event, no reservations are needed to receive assistance.

LIHWAP is a federally funded program that offers a one- time payment to help you pay your current or past due water or wastewater bills up to $15,000. LIHWAP is a one-time grant that does not have to be repaid.
