Permitted paved areas in the front yard setback are a 3-foot-wide pathway to the front porch and 1 driveway to a garage, not to exceed 12 feet in width for a garage located in the mid to rear portion of the lot, or not to exceed 25 feet in width for a front 2-car garage. Legal nonconforming properties built without garages may pave and make use of 1 driveway in the front yard setback not to exceed 12 feet in width.
Any planters, additional paved area or structures in the front yard setback area require approval by the director of community development or his designee. No parking is permitted in the front yard setback area except on approved driveway surface.
